a/c is not working
Did you try turning on the air conditioning and it’s just not working? If your air conditioner doesn’t go on automatically, check that the thermostat is set to “cool” and below the current house temperature. If this is still a no-go, the next things to review are:
- Go and check the main electrical panel and any secondary circuit panels for a tripped breaker or blown fuse. If you find the problem here, you will need to reset the breaker or replace the fuse.
- Next you want to make sure the furnace power switch is turned on and that the outdoor condenser’s power switch, that is usually mounted on the outdoor unit, is turned on.
- At this point if the a/c doesn’t turn on it’s your best bet to call an air-conditioning technician.
