How do you know when it’s time to replace your hot water heater? It can be pretty obvious. Some of the signs that your water heater needs replacing are:
- You find a puddle around your water heater. This could be that your tank is leaking or you have a leaky drain valve. If it’s just the drain valve leaking you can get this repaired, but if the tank is corroded and leaking it’s time to replace your water heater.
- Does your hot water run out quicker than it did in the past. This could be that the water heater is old and not working as efficiently. Now is the time to start doing your research on what type of water heater replacement you should get. It’s best not to wait too long to get this fixed. The last thing you want is a plumbing emergency on your hands!
- There are some other signs that your water heater needs replacing. It may start to smell weird or make noises. Lastly if your tank is corroded you could see discolored or rusty water coming out of the faucet.
